Aged Compost from the Horses of Cold Moon Farm
We are in the horse business, not the compost business, but when our horses do their business…it makes Poo For You!
Our aged compost is made primarily from horse manure and hay, with a little bit of household produce mixed in. We rotate it through our 3 bay compost bin and then let it “cook” a bit in an old foundation. The entire process takes about five to eight months, and the result is a rich, earthy compost perfect for gardens, beds and other similar uses.
Poo For You is available from roughly April 1- November 15, or whenever the snow flies– whichever comes first!
Pre-Bagged (Self-Serve): $5/bag (cash only please, leave in black cash box)
Loaded (We Scoop): $30/tractor bucket (by appointment; call/text 603-617-9488)
Historically, 100% of sales from our Poo For You program were either donated to an equine-related non-profit, or are otherwise used to directly support the well-being and care of equines in need. Cold Moon Farm is now home to four equines over the age of 20, and it is our intention to be the “Forever Farm” for each of these animals. To help support their continued care and well-being in their twilight years, in 2026, ALL MONIES FROM SALES will be put toward our Senior Sanctuary Fund. This Fund is used to help offset the cost of these animals’ continued medical and veterinary needs.
