Cold Moon Farm is a working horse farm dedicated to promoting the principles of sustainable living, conservation and the highest standards of compassionate horsemanship. We offer educational and equine-assisted coaching programs designed to build skills needed to overcome obstacles, reach goals, and improve both equine and human relationships.
Principal horseman and lead facilitator Christina Keim, M.Ed., M.F.A., is a life long equestrian with experience in multiple disciplines, including eventing, jumpers, hunters and hunt seat equitation, dressage and competitive distance riding. For nearly two decades, she mentored undergraduate students at a top New England university as an educator and academic advisor, and served as head coach of their hunt seat equestrian team. During that time, she learned that the most important lessons that horses teach us have very little to do with riding.
Christina offers horsemanship education and horseback riding instruction to all levels of rider in the disciplines of balanced and hunt seat through private and semi private lessons. At this time, we do not have school horse availability, though ship-in lessons are welcome. In addition, Christina combines her background in educational psychology with her professional experience to offer equine-assisted coaching sessions for individuals and groups.
Christina is a USDF “L” graduate and USEF “R” judge (Connemara). She offers judging, announcing and course design services for schooling shows in dressage, hunt seat, eventing, jumpers and Pony Club.
