I am thrilled to be joining the Gobi Gallop 2023, which will see our group honor the legacy of Mongolian horsemanship by traveling across 700 kilometers of Mongolian countryside on native horses under the direction of local guides. At the time of this writing, the route is yet to be determined but may include steppe, plain, river crossings and more, but one fact is certain—we will #chafeforcharity in order to raise funds for the Veloo Foundation’s Children of the Peak Project.
I have wanted to visit Mongolia since learning about its rich equestrian heritage and I am so excited to be given this opportunity to experience elements of this culture first hand. Perhaps the best part about the Gobi Gallop is that through the Veloo Foundation’s efforts, our visit can create positive change for the people of Ulaanbaatar.
